SUNDAY - Christmas Eve

Visiting with Mike and Kathy Gold

Sunday morning we all just goofed off. I logged onto Mom's computer and played MAH-JONGG all morning. We ate lunch at home again. That afternoon, Mike and Kathy came by for a visit. Tragically, we did not have any TEQUIZA® beer for Kathy; maybe next year. We sat and discussed the Presidential Election (a popular topic at the time), motorcycling, and other topics affecting the State of the Union. I'd say we saved the Republic through our timely debates.

Visiting with Aunt Dory, Carol and Robert on Christmas Eve

That evening Aunt Dory , Carol and Robert came over to visit. Marc brought his cat Luther with him when he, Jackie and Steve drove in from New Orleans Saturday . Robert got along great with Luther . Carol liked him too. Heck, he was our Christmas Mascot! Luther was very sociable and visited with everybody. Aunt Dora just visited for a couple of hours. Carol and Robert played cards with Marc and Steve until 2 AM. Steve introduced them to "Bangkok Rules" or some other obscure card game, which required all night to master. They were keeping score on a sheet of paper and everything! ...although they did not play for money. And such was our Christmas Eve for 2000.
