SATURDAY - Felix And Gai's Annual Christmas Dinner

Saturday morning I saved the world playing QUAKE2®. It took all morning, but I did it. Mom and I then ate lunch at home. Usually we eat out, so eating at home was a pleasant change of pace. We then spent the afternoon running various errands around town. Around 4:00 we rolled over to Felix and Gai's for their Annual Christmas Dinner.

Gai was waiting for us when we arrived, along with Felix and David . David had driven in earlier from Houston. Also present were Anisa and Julia , minus her beloved crewcut of last year. Julia had flown in from out of state the night before. Well perhaps I should say the morning before. In other words, Felix and Gai had a adventure picking Julia up from the airport Friday night. Felix poured us some wine, and we commenced to drinking. I guess he figured we needed some lubrication to hear about the Julia-airport-pickup adventure. Next to arrive were Uncle Tom, Claire, and Aunt Hazel . They were all looking very good. Then along came Aunt Lou , along with Louis and Monica and Jessica and Kevin . Following them came Aunt Dory, Carol and Robert . Unfortunately, a lot of these pictures came out dark. So here is a clearer shot of Carol, Uncle Tom, Louis, Robert, and David talking . We moved into the kitchen to discuss the recent Presidential Election, the status of Edwin Edwards' conviction, and other topics vital to national security. Around this time, Gai started serving food. Next to arrive was Jackie and Steve and Marc . Gai also made some coffee, which Jackie loved . And in a true KODAK® moment, both Jackie and Carol gave us the Attitude At this point, Gai took my camera and snapped a shot of Steve, Louis's hand, David, Uncle Tom, Felix, me, and Robert (going from left to right around the table). Anisa arrived at some point in the get-together, although the exact time now escapes me. Could be too much white wine... So we all sat around drinking and eating too much, as we do every year. Finally around 8:00, Mom made us leave. Dragged us away, kicking and screaming, against our wills. We all had an enjoyable time and look forward to next year's Annual Christmas get-together.
