Orange and red leaves on the Maples beside a rock outcropping near the end of the wash near Cave Springs in Oak Creek Canyon.


I returned to the same area to try photographing different scenes. I like how the rock outcropping forms almost a triangle in the image and the red Maple leaves enhance or isolate the rock outcropping. A really cool image. I also shot this image in portrait mode (which you can see below), but the front and rear rise created such ugly vignetting that the image turned out disappointing, at least for now...

I used VELVIA 100 again along with my Ebony SV810 camera and Schneider SUPER-SYMMAR XL 150mm f5.6 lens. For the vertical/portrait mode shot, I used my Rodenstock APO-SIRONAR-S 240mm f5.6 lens.

I took the photo above a couple of days earlier with my Fuji GA645Zi Medium Format Rangefinder camera. I took the photo in portrait mode, which gives a different rhythm and feel to the composition.

I like all of these photos.
