This trip was my last time photographing the Maples for 2008. I again used my Ebony SV810 camera, Rodenstock SIRONAR-S 240mm f5.6 lens, and Fuji VELVIA 50 color transparency film. I like this composition because it "reads" in reverse, from right to left. I also like the Pine tree trunk in the right foreground, along with the tree trunk in the midground creating a sort of rhythm and leading your eye into the image. I like the way the red Maples leaves in the midground contrast against the evergreen green leaves in the background.
