After our epic drive to Brandon and back, I ended up sleeping late, until around 08:30AM. I got up, exercised a little bit, and slowly came back to life. We then made our way over to Louis and Monica's house.
We arrived at Louis and Monica's house around noon, thinking that we would only visit for 1 hour. We ended up staying for 3 hours on account of Louis was feeling good and talked up a storm. He had a steroid shot that morning, which made him surprisingly animated and talkative. So we had a great visit with him and Monica.
We started out talking about HAARP and weather modification and Nikola Tesla; fun stuff. Nothing like a good conspiracy theory :-) Then the conversation veered into doctors and pharmacists and the trouble that they cause. Louis and Monica vented quite a bit on the subject. Louis then explained about his health issues: the steroids, his diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, his fungal infection, etc. He went on to talk about his experiences being stationed in Death Valley, his feelings about death and our (society's) unwillingness to discuss the subject. Louis finally started fading after about 3 hours, so we said our goodbyes and drove to Eric and Lynne's house.
We briefly visited with Aunt Lou, Eric and Lynne, Felix, Richard, Dallas Junior, and Rose. Then we drove to RANDOL'S Seafood restaurant for dinner in the pouring rain. Our dinner party ended up including Felix, Richard, Eric, Marc, and me. I got my crawfish étouffée and blackened alligator tails and was a happy camper :-)
I explained to Eric and Richard about my mercury diagnosis and chelation experiences. They found the subject amusing and sobering; everybody in south Louisiana must have astronomical mercury levels. Richard then talked about going back to Paris with his Mom/Aunt Lou. Eric ordered some crabs for their Mom.
After dinner Eric and Richard took the crabs to heir Mom and asked her about going to Paris, while Felix, Marc, and I drove over to Felix and Gai's house to visit some more. While waiting for Richard and Eric to return, we discussed our cousin Andy Pardue (basically, no news). Then we talked about current events in China, the NSA and Ed Snowden, and drones.
Felix and Gai talked about Malaysia and the "Long House" People and how the Malaysian government is requiring them to stop moving around and stay in 1 place. they also talked about ancient ruins in Thailand: Khmer ruins in the north part of the country.
Felix discussed his physical health. He has a torn bicep in his right arm. The doctors do not want to do anything since he can still lift things with his right arm. We also discussed the perils of aging :-)
After Richard and Eric returned, Marc and I discussed stock investing, stock investment algorithms, the October 2008 Global Financial Crisis, and Credit Default Swap ratings with Eric. We finally said our goodbyes around 11:15PM and returned to our hotel to sleep late again.
