This year celebrating my Birthday started early. Jackie and Steve and James, John, and Sophia gave me my Birthday gifts after a wonderful Thanksgiving buffet at the luxurious ENCHANTMENT RESORT. They gave me some awesome gifts, including a camera tripod head that I really wanted, a cool blue hat, a classic Japanese movie called IKIRU, and a cutting edge memory card so I can record 4K video on my digital camera. And Keri gave me the classic book AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI by Paramahansa Yogananda. I loved it all :-)

For my Birthday I started the morning by hiking up Thunder Mountain, my favorite hike in the whole world. I zoomed up and got a real rush looking at Sedona from on top of the mountain. Standing on top of Thunder Mountain set the tone for my whole day :-)

After hiking Thunder Mountain I then ran various errands. That afternoon Adele cooked my favorite food in the whole world, crawfish etouffee (following my Mom's recipe, and thanks to Gina for her help), cornbread from WHOLE FOODS (not as good as Adele's but available quickly), salad, and for dessert an organic raw chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake (Adele combined 3 recipes for an original yummy culinary creation). I loved every bite :-) We also enjoyed a New Zealand Pinot Noir that Luna and her boyfriend Devin brought back from their trip to New Zealand earlier this year; in fact, we enjoyed it so much that we finished off the bottle at dinner. Marc arrived just before mealtime and joined us for all of this fantastic food.

Afterwards, I opened my Birthday gifts and we watched some of them (DVDs); specifically, MIDNIGHT SPECIAL compilations from 1973, 1974, and 1975. That certainly brought back memories (all good)! Marc also gave me a heavyweight camera tripod head (it can support about 26 pounds) for my 8x10 and 16x20 cameras that I really really wanted. So I am set for photography for a while! Adele gave me a nice pair of slip-on shoes that I really wanted and needed but kept putting off (I avoid buying clothes as much as possible). Adele's daughters Luna and Christy also gave me some thoughtful Birthday gifts, which I really appreciate. I started to nod off while watching the music DVDs, so Marc said his goodbyes. And such was my Birthday celebration for 2015.
