Marc only stayed 1 week, so we celebrated Jackie's Birthday on the last day that he stayed (Sunday). In the morning, Jackie and Steve and Marc and Sophia went to the park to watch John and James play Australian Rules Football. I was still feeling sleepy from the flight, so I just stayed home and slept late. After returning from that adventure, we all got cleaned up and Jackie opened her Birthday gifts. Jackie received lots of gifts, none of which I can recall (Next year I will bring my camcorder to help jog my memory).
Later we went to NEW ORLEANS CAFE® (now closed), a restaurant serving New Orleans style food, to celebrate Jackie's Birthday meal. Steve's brother Rick, his Dad, Stephen, and his Grandma Akins all joined us to help celebrate. I enjoyed the food and found the cuisine suitably spicy for my palette. If I recall correctly, they did serve jambalaya and gumbo among other things. Afterwards we returned to Jackie and Steve's house and vegetated. Later that evening we said our goodbyes to Marc, and Steve brought Marc to the airport. And that was Jackie's official Birthday celebration for 2010.
