This year celebrating my Birthday started early. Marc and Keri treated me and Adele to a wonderful Sunday Brunch at L'AUBERGE DE SEDONA® a few days before my actual Birthday (because hey, you cannot have too many Birthday Brunches!). Great food, and Keith the head chef even made me a delicious pumpkin cheesecake Birthday cake. I loved it. Great food and company :-)

For my Birthday I started the morning by hiking up Thunder Mountain, my favorite hike in the whole world. It was seriously cold, in fact it was so cold that I did not sweat hiking up. Of course, when I got to the top it was all worth it. Incredibly beautiful views all around. I felt really happy and alive to gaze upon the scenery of Sedona from up top. On my hike down I met my friend Nathan. I felt really buzzed the whole way down. So my day started fantastic, the way every day should start :-)

After hiking Thunder Mountain I then ran various errands. That afternoon Adele cooked my favorite food in the whole world, crawfish etouffee (following my Mom's recipe, and thanks to Gina for your help), cornbread, salad, and for dessert peanut butter cheesecake, all organic. Delicious! I loved every bite. Marc joined us for the whole meal, while Luna arrived in time for dessert and later had a little etouffee. We have a lot of peanut butter cheesecake lovers in Sedona.

After a relaxed leisurely dinner and visit, I opened my Birthday gifts. Jackie and Steve got me a cool ED HARDY® tiger jacket along with the original INVADERS® TV series from the 1960s. Marc gave me an Ansel Adams DVD and portrait done by local photographer Lou Deserio, along with various other cool gifts. In addition to cooking my favorite food, Adele gave me a pair of my favorite kind of socks ( MAGGIE'S® functional organic clothes), a bar of chocolate with mango and a fun musical Hawaiian Birthday card. Luna gave me a bar of GREEN & BLACK'S® milk chocolate, the best organic chocolate around. I was really happy to have such great company and fun gifts. Marc and Luna left shortly after I opened my gifts (everybody made some comments regarding the speed at which I opened my gifts and the unnecessariness of saving gift wrapping). Then Adele and I watched all of the fun DVDs we had lying around. And that was my Birthday for 2010.
