After watching the boys play Australian Rules Football, we headed back to Jackie and Steve's and got cleaned up. Steve's brother Rick came over, and we caravaned to Manly Beach. I found the weather pretty cold, so the beach was not appealing. Fortunately, we made a beeline for a local seafood restaurant to eat lunch, so I was happy. James ordered the octopus and took great pleasure in eating it. I think I ate a lot of calamari and veggies. Later we walked around the local shops and street vendors with their crafts.
After digesting our lunch, we treated ourselves to yummy ice cream from the local BEN & JERRY'S®. I got a 3 scoop peanut butter chocolate concoction which I thoroughly loved. As the temperature dropped, we finally said goodbye to Manly Beach and headed back to Jackie and Steve's house. I finished packing and said goodbye to everybody. Then Steve graciously gave me a ride to the airport. We visited for a little while before I went through security, and then I was off to Hawai'i. And such was my Australian visit for 2010.
