SATURDAY - Visiting with Naresh and See-Yai

Mom and Jackie went shopping in the morning. Steve and Marc went down to the gym and worked out. I just chilled out and relaxed for the morning. For lunch we went to THE LEFT BANKE®. THE LEFT BANKE® is a French restaurant just a few blocks from Jackie and Steve's home. They served a couple of fish dishes, so I was happy. The food was pretty good as well. Afterwards, we drove around and eventually ended up back at Jackie and Steve's. That afternoon, Marc and Steve checked out stereos and electronics, while I chauffeured Mom and Jackie around to their shopping destinations.

That evening we ate dinner at PISCES®, an upscale restaurant that Steve and Naresh really liked. If I recall correctly, Jackie and Naresh's wife See-Yai also liked it. As you can see from these pictures Naresh and See-Yai joined us for dinner. Starting from the left is Mom, Marc, See-Yai, Jackie, Steve, and Naresh. The food was good. Lots of good seafood. See-Yai and Naresh and Steve and Marc got the sampler dinner, which consisted of samples of 4 entrees and a dessert. Mom, Jackie, and I ordered regular menu items; we were not feeling as experimental that night :-)

After dinner, we journeyed to Naresh and See-Yai's home. Upon arriving, Naresh fixed us some pound cake, glasses of brandy, and some other alcoholic beverage from Eastern Europe. Joining us were Naresh and See-Yai's 2 young sons Mikhil and Kieron. We visited for a couple of hours. Marc and Naresh went outside to smoke a cigar, while Mom, Jackie and Steve, See-Yai, the 2 kids, and I stayed inside. I noticed a spider on the ceiling, so Mikhil and Kieron immediately attacked it with their ray guns and wrenches and other toys. Obviously, they could not reach the ceiling. Steve tried holding Mikhil up to the ceiling to brush the spider down with a paper towel. After failing a couple of times, Steve finally got on the sofa and brushed the spider onto the floor. Mikhil then attacked and squished the poor spider to oblivion. Finally some people, who shall remain nameless, got tired. So we returned to Jackie and Steve's. And such was our Saturday night.
