Marc and I made our annual drive into California to see the Maddux Clan once again. The drive was calm enough, although we saw a tremendous amount of wind and dust west of Barstow and around Kramer Junction. We eventually arrived in town and checked into our hotel.
We drove over to Uncle Bill's to wait for Tom and Hunter to arrive. We visited with Uncle Bill and Lynne while we waited. We then drove over to THE GRAPE LEAF for dinner and met Tom and Hunter at the restaurant. We spent the meal catching up on past events.
After dinner we returned to Uncle Bill and Lynne's house to visit some more. The wind continued to blow pretty hard, and the temperature cooled off quite a bit. We also watched a curious show called THE SHARK TANK®, about entrepeneurs seeking VC funding to take their businesses to the next level of success. Definitely an interesting show. Uncle Bill also told us more about the Maddux fmaily and showed me a Genealogy book on the Madduxes and their relatives. We talked about trying to locate Grandma's sister Anna's children and/or grandchildren to find out more about their side of the family; it's on the to-do list. After visiting for a couple of hours, we finally said our goodbyes and headed back ot our hotel for some much needed sleep.
