SUNDAY - Lunch with Mike

Sunday morning we drove into Baton Rouge to have a light lunch with Mike. Fortunately, Mike had a heavy meal the night before, so he was also looking for a light lunch. Paul and Rochelle and the kids were in Florida visiting Rochelle's brother Butch and getting rained on courtesy of Tropical Storm Debbie. Aunt Dory could not make it either this year.

We arrived at the restaurant ALABASHA'S® off of the College Exit from I-10 at the same time. Mike is looking great as usual. He told us that his Dad is also doing great. Marc and Mike got into a discussion of the mournful LSU-Alabama game last Winter. They came to no clear conclusions on the subject. LSU's poor performance remains an unsolved mystery. We gave him the lowdown on how the Pitre family was doing. We also explained at length how he really wanted to save his money and avoid seeing PROMETHEUS® because it was so ridiculously bad. We talked a little about Louisiana politics. I remain convinced that Edwin Edwards will run for governor in the next election; Marc and Mike are not so sure.

We did not have long to visit because we were on our way to visit Aunt Nell and Uncle Norman. So we said our goodbyes right after lunch and hit the road. Next year we will spend more time in Baton Rouge with Mike and Paul and hopefully see Aunt Dory as well.
