Monday morning Marc and I made our way to COYOTE BLUES®, a Mexican restaurant by the Acadiana Mall, to have lunch with our (and Dad and Mom's) old buddy Mike Gold. Mike was lots of fun as usual. Mike's wife Cathy was working and sadly could not make it. Mike told us about his recent health adventures and Cathy's as well. We talked about Louisiana politics and how Louisiana and the federal government were just like Greece. Mike told us about LUS's latest profitability (or rather lack thereof) report. He also discussed Louisiana's unfunded pension plan and the "drop box" retirement plan that was so good the legislators extended it from teachers to themselves. We also enjoyed some Mexican food. No clear plan for saving the world this time other than firing CEOs of every failing corporation and everybody in the legislature and Congress. I guess that's our project for the rest of this year. After an entertaining lunch and visit, we finally said our goodbyes and headed off for our next adventure.
