THURSDAY - Arriving in Lafayette

I drove into Lafayette Thursday morning. I picked up my framed pictures from EVANGELINE Paint Shop® (now, sadly, closed). I had 2 of Mary Anne's pastels framed: the first was Mom's Mother's Day Gift , and the second was for me . Mom and Aunt Dory were visiting when I arrived. We visited a while and then ordered out for lunch. Aunt Dory and I ate crawfish po-boys from COPELAND'S® restaurant (I needed my COPELAND'S® fix :-), and Mom had a hamburger from SONIC®. After chowing down, we visited a little while longer. Then Aunt Dory departed. Mom pretty much slept the afternoon away. I wrestled with installing the latest Mandrake® distribution of LINUX® (version 8.2) on my computer. Later that afternoon, I picked up Jackie and Steve from the airport. Amazingly, their flight into Lafayette was on time, so we were in and out in no time. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening visiting and catching up on family affairs. After everybody went to bed, I installed KDE-3.0® on my computer. And such was our Thursday.
