Friday morning I started the out by visiting Julie and Rusty and Kevin at their house. Kevin was out of school for the Summer, and Rusty had the morning (or maybe day, I forget) off. We visited for an hour or so and just caught up on events. Then I was on to my next visit...
After visiting with Julie and Rusty and Kevin, I met Aunt Dory for lunch at DON'S SEAFOOD HUT®. We had an enjoyable lunch (I of course ate more crawfish) and visited for a couple of hours. We caught up on family events and how everybody was doing. After visiting for a couple of hours, I was off to my next visit...
After visiting with Aunt Dory, I drove to Opelousas to visit with Honore and Marie. I arrived at their shop and visited with them for an hour or 2. Honore was looking great, and that was saying a lot considering how hot it was that day. He told me about the traditional Mardi Gras on horseback that they attend every year; it sounded really cool. I wished later that I had taken a picture of him and Marie (I took a picture of them the next day, so all is well). Ah well... After visiting with them I drove to Baton Rouge for my final visit of the day...
After visiting with Honore and Marie I drove to Baton Rouge to visit Paul and Mike. We met up at STARBUCKS® near the COPELAND'S® restaurant off of I-10. We caught up on family events and what not. And Mike had to explain to Paul and me what a KINDLE® was; very embarassing. We also caught up on the state of LSU, and I learned about how much damage that hurricane Gustav did to Baton Rouge in the Fall of 2008. We had a great visit. And finally I drove back to Lafayette exhausted. And that was my Friday visiting relatives.
