FRIDAY - Celebrating Mom's Townhouse Sale!

Friday was Aunt Hazel's birthday. Mom (whose birthday is Sunday) and Aunt Hazel celebrated their birthdays early, on Thursday. So we had her covered.

Mom sold her old house on Tuesday and celebrated with Marc and Dara and Felix and Gai and Aunt Dory (I was not present, so I have no pictures. Sorry.). However, once was not enough for Mom; she needed to celebrate her house sale twice. So, Felix and Gai boiled some crawfish, and Mom, Marc, and I went over to Felix and Gai's to eat some mudbugs. Also joining us were Eric and Lynne and their kids Erica and Shawn. Okay, Lynne did not make it into that picture, but here she is. Last but not least, Aunt Dory joined us as well. Felix and Eric, with some help from Marc, pretty much handled boiling the crawfish. Eric applied the ZATARAIN'S® seasoning quite liberally. They boiled the crawfish juuuuust riiiiiiiight. A full 50 pounds of mudbug Nirvana. So good Heaven would be a lateral move. I was kind of crawfished out, so Marc became my designated eater. Everybody (but me) pigged out and wolfed down all 50 pounds. Not a single mudbug escaped uneaten. After cleaning up, we went inside and discussed the state of the union and whatnot for an hour or two. Then we all departed.

Gai got another great deal on this table and chair set from WAL-MART'S® (Mom insisted I put this picture on the webpage, so everyone can be jealous :-).

Mom, Marc, and I returned home, whereupon Marc popped in a movie, THE IRON MONKEY®, and started watching. I worked on my computer briefly, trying to install the latest version of LINUX®, then gave up and went to bed early.

Aside from the excellent food, Felix and Gai also gave my Mom a beautiful vase of roses . Mom gave Gai and Felix some flowers. And we all lived happily ever after. And such was Mom's second house sale celebration!
