I visited my cousin Paul and his wife Rochelle for his birthday. Paul and Rochelle were living in Oregon. They moved up to Oregon in the late 1990s because SYMANTEC®, Paul's employer at the time, moved their office from Baton Rouge to Oregon.
I flew up to Oregon on a friday night. As you may notice from the photo above, Rochelle is pregnant. She had a baby boy, Miles, on January 16th, 2000. No Y2K problems for them. Taaka is Paul and Rochelle's dog. She is the Akita, the big dog in the picture. Paul had Taaka since he was an undergraduate student at L.S.U. She was really friendly and a lot of fun. Sadly, Taaka passed away a few years ago. Gizmo is the smaller dog in the picture. Gizmo belongs to Paul and Rochelle's friends Brad and Mindy. Paul and Rochelle were looking after Gizmo for Brad and Mindy when I visited.
That evening we ate some of Paul's Birthday cake. It was chocolate cake, so of course I loved it. It was delicious.
