After a great visit and breakfast with Aunt Pat and MarLyn and Tom, we drove over to Uncle Bill's to visit for the afternoon. Uncle Bill and I had talked about visiting the Trona Pinnacles, a nearby area of large rock formations.

After visiting the Trona Pinnacles, we visited the nearby town of Trona. The town had seen better days. It had been a company town, but things were looking very beat up and uncared for these days. Only the factory looked fairly well cared for. A grim experience.

After driving around Trona, we returned to Uncle Bill's house to watch the LSU game. Lynne kindly gave me a ride so we could all enjoy a drink or 2. Tom and Lynne's daughter Jenny arrived shortly after us. We arrived in time for the kickoff, and the game quickly turned into a cakewalk for LSU. So we watched a couple of other college games and talked and visited. Uncle Bill told us a little about the LA Rams under Georgia Frontiere (I think that is the correct spelling). Tom told us about Oakland Raiders fans. That is all I recall now. After watching all of the games, Tom gave Marc and me a ride back to our hotel. Then we crashed. And that was our Saturday adventures this year.
