We celebrated Marc's Birthday early this year. For dinner we went to his favorite Italian restaurant, DAHL & DiLUCA®. Antonio served us and did a wonderful job, truly awesome. And the way he opened the bottle of wine, carefully positioning the cork within the metal wrapper was pure art. And of course,the food was amazing. Best of all, Antonio brought Marc the best tiramisu to celebrate Marc's Birthday. It tasted fantastic. Our nephew John would have loved it. And such was Marc's Birthday dinner.

Afterwards Adele left for a music concert. Nate and Sarah picked up their kids, Niko and Dia, and brought them over to Marc's house. Marc and Keri and I returned to Marc's house for Birthday cake and to watch Marc open his gifts. Nate and Sarah stopped to get the kids a fun meal at the notorious "double arches", AKA Mickey D's. Marc sampled the ice cream while we waited (lots of yummy flavors including my favorite, peanut butter fudge). Marc's Birthday cake was a monster chocolate chip cookie, which tasted dee-licious. I managed to score a 2nd piece under dwindling supplies of said cake. Marc blew out the candles on his cake, which unfortunately I missed because I could not recall where I left my camera :-( And Nate got a really cool candle assembly with music and everything. It was funkadelic. Finally, Marc got aorund to opening his gifts. Lots of TOP GEAR® episodes and sheet music for his guitar playing and a Wah Wah Pedal. Marc really racked up this year!

We talked and visited for a while longer. Then sleepy kids and adults signalled the time to say our goodbyes and leave. So we did. And that was how we celebrated Marc's Birthday this year.
