Wednesday I got together with Dad's old buddy and our family friend Mike Gold. We had lunch at ALESI'S®, an Italian restaurant that Mom went to when she moved to Lafayette to attend college. Mike and I had a great visit discussing the satte of the world and various other things. And of course the food was delicious :-) After an enjoyable conversation and visit, we said our goodbyes and I moved on to visit Cathy. Cathy was working at LOWE'S®, so I drove over to see her and visit. We had an ongoing conversation as she helped various customers. After an hour or so she really had to get back to work, so we said our goodbyes and I left.
That evening I went over to Felix and Gai's home to help Aunt Lou celebrate her Birthday. If I recall correctly Eric also came. We visited and talked and ate a little cake/dessert for a couple of hours. And finally we said our goodbyes. The whole Birthday celebration was very low key.
The next morning I got up and visited with Aunt Lou. We had a pleasant conversation, and then I said goodbye. I drove to Houston and flew home. And that was my Louisiana visit for 2008.
