Marc came out to visit me here in Sedona last weekend. We did a little hiking, watched a couple of movies, and drove all over the place. I only took pictures of our adventures Sunday and Monday, so Marc will return in a month or 2 for a fully photographed visit :-) And here is the blow by blow description...

THURSDAY - Marc arrives

Thursday evening I picked Marc up from the airport in Phoenix. We ate dinner and visited at STEAMER'S GENUINE SEAFOOD®. Then we drove back to Sedona. And that was Thursday.

FRIDAY - Hiking and hanging out

Friday morning, we picked up Adele and hiked a trail off of Soldier Pass Road to the 7 Pools. The 7 Pools turned out to be 2 pools nearly dried up and 5 pools completely dry. The 2 wet pools had frogs and bugs in it. Our hike did not take much time, so we drove to a stream near Cathedral Rock. We walked to the stream and let our feet hang in the cool water. Then we walked back to my car. Then we went to TAKASHI®, a Japanese restaurant. We ate a delicious lunch. Adele then left for work. Marc and I went to see the latest Sean Connery movie, THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN®, a fun summer movie. After the movie, we drove out to Montezuma's Well and explored the ruins. We then drove up I-17 to the Schnebly Hill Road exit and took Schnebly Hill Road back to Sedona. Then we ate a quick dinner. Afterwards, we drove out to Jerome to look for the legendary 35 mile unpaved road that thrilled Marc and Joan back in October 2001. We stopped at the Grand Hotel in Jerome and talked with the guy at the gift shop for a while. We got a map of Jerome which showed the legendary road. We then drove down this road for a couple of miles to confirm Marc's memories. After he was sure that this road was indeed the legendary road, we headed back to Sedona. And such was our Friday.
