John Dempsey, Mary Anne and Jimbo

John Dempsey and Mary Anne (pictured here with my Mom and Aunt Dory) drove down from north Louisiana to visit in August. They stopped off at Aunt Lou's first and visited with Aunt Lou and family for a while. Then they eventually drove over to visit Mom and me. Aunt Dory was gracious enough to take a picture of me, Mary Anne, John Dempsey, and Mom . (I think the picture may be blurry.) Mary Anne and I talked about art for a while. She showed us her portfolio of recent works, which was impressive. Mom bought 1 of her prints for Jackie's Birthday. She had a lot of prints and some sketches and studies from her art workshop in Virginia about 2 months ago. John Dempsey was his usual ebullient self and talked up a storm :-) In fact we stayed up until about midnight talking.

The next morning Mary Anne drove to the Baton Rouge airport to pick up Jimbo, her husband. When they returned we went to eat lunch at RUTH'S CHRIS Steakhouse® (sorry, no pictures of that). After a long and scrumptuous lunch, Mary Anne and Jimbo and John Dempsey packed up and left. John's strange hand gesture is sign language for cut the picture off above his waist :-) And that was Mary Anne and John Dempsey's visit for this Summer.
