After visiting Crescent Meadow Trail, we drove to WUKSACHI LODGE and ate an excellent dinner (they offer the best food in both parks). Afterwards we drove to Sunset Rock Trail and decided to walk it to see the sunset (truth in advertising and all of that stuff). Along the way we saw several tall (but not gigantic) Sequoia and Pine trees. I still felt that they were beautiful and magnificent. We found the Sunset Rock just before sunset and saw an amazing sunset off to the west. Afterwards, we walked back to our car at a leisurely pace. We returned to our hotel, arriving quite late (the drive out of Sequoia National Park is loooong and slow).
The next day we checked out and drove home. And such was our July 2013 visit to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
