I hiked up Teacup early on February 22, 2013, the last day that the snow covered the buttes and mountains around Sedona. Fortunately, the sky contained a few clouds to give it photographic character. In fact, the soft puffy clouds really made this scene work. The morning light also turned out very dramatic and stunning. I photographed this scene with color slide (Fuji VELVIA 100) and color negative (Kodak PORTRA 400) film. I liked the look of the slide film (Fuji VELVIA 100) the best.
I took this photo with my Ebony SV810 camera and Fuji FUJINON-C 600mm f11.5 lens. I set the aperture to f22 and the shutter speed to 1/15 second for the top photograph and 1/30 second for the bottom photograph.
