MONDAY - Celebrating James and John's Birthdays

I got up around 06:17AM after hearing noise in the kitchen. After 8 hours of sleep, I felt fantastic! Steve was teleconferencing with some people when I arrived in the kitchen. Jackie, Naresh, and Sophia were up by 07:30AM (yep, you read that right: Jackie was up by 07:30AM!). I edited some of my Japan trip photos, then practiced Yoga. Meanwhile, James managed to plug up the basement toilet, which caused me some discomfort when all of the other bathrooms in the house were occupied. Fortunately, I managed to hold my bladder until a toilet opened up. Even more fortunately, Jackie and Steve had a snake to unplug the toilet, so after an hour or so, all was well with the basement toilet ;-)

I then returned to editing my Japan trip photos. Then I read some more pages in AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI and did some deep breathing/network chiropractic exercises. The snow from yesterday was still on the ground. I felt very impressed about that! So I took some more photos to remember the auspicious occasion.

We walked to PAPA HADYN'S to celebrate James and John's Birthday lunch. The food was decent, but the service was incredibly slow. I felt particularly annoyed and impatient with our server's slowness. Afterwards, we walked to BARISTA so Steve and Naresh could get a coffee. Then I walked over to LUSH to hook up with Marc, but I could not find him. So I walked back to the house. I did not see any lights on in the house, so I walked up and down the road several times chanting the Kalachakra Mantra (great exercise!). Eventually, Marc came along and we walked inside the house. Turns out Jackie and Sophia were home all of that time! My bad.

That afternoon I slipped at the bottom of the basement stairs and fell, jamming my right wrist. My wrist hurt a lot and stiffened up as the evening wore on (and even now, 1 month later, my wrist still hurts when I apply weight to it). We watched James and John open their Birthday gifts to much fanfare. Afterwards we continued our packing to depart the next day. Naresh continued working. And the kids played pool and Nintendo. And such was our last full day in Oregon.
