SUNDAY

Sunday morning I drove over to Big Basin Redwoods State Park and photographed the amazing Redwood trees. Around noon I returned to my hotel room and got cleaned up. I then drove over to Carol and Robert's house and visited with them and Noelle for a couple of hours until Jackie and Steve and the kids arrived (late as usual). We then drove over to EDDIE PAPA'S AMERICAN HANGOUT® for dinner. I was able to get some honest-to-gosh seafood jambalaya, so I was totally psyched and happy. John was his usual troublemaking self, and Jackie cracked the whip on him. Needless to say, John did not take it well. After eating our entrees, the kids got shakes and sundaes and were completely hyper by the time that we got back to Carol and Robert's house.

After dinner Steve, Robert, and I took the kids for a walk around the neighborhood so they could burn off some energy. After about an hour or running around, they finally started to calm down. So we slowly made out way back to the house. We visited for an hour or 2 longer, this time much more peacefully with the kids exhausted.

Finally I said my goodbyes and drove back to my hotel. No wrong turns or getting lost, a nice change compared to the previous nights. And such was my Sunday in the north Bay area.
