Thursday afternoon Marc and I flew into Houston. Then we drove through that charming Houston rush hour traffic to our hotel to check in. We had just enough time to check in and drive to the restaurant 5115 GRILLE® in the Houston GALLERIA® for dinner. David met us about 5 minutes later. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner, which made me really miss the food of Houston.
After dinner Marc was feeling really tired, so he returned to our hotel while I drove out to David and Melissa's home to visit some more.
I drove over to David and Melissa's house and met them in their driveway with little Miss Katherine. We went inside and I got the full kid treatment: Gabriel, Jonathan, and Benjamin in full force. They proudly showed me their treehouse, which David put together. They even went into pirate mode for the full Peter Pan effect. We eventually made our way back inside and talked and visited for a couple of hours. Then Melissa put the kids to bed. However, little Miss Katherine was not happy and cried for almost an hour. Finally, Melissa picked her up and held her for a few minutes, and then she fell alseep. Silence is truly a beautiful sound.
