After visiting with Uncle Jimmy and Susie, Marc and I drove into Houston and checked into our hotel. Then we headed over to SOUTHPAW'S® to check out the left handed guitars (Marc and I are both lefties). Marc found a sunburst Fender STRATOCASTER® that was absolutely smoking. It played great (I tried it and can comfirm the playability) and looked beautiful, a true work of art. I played around with a Gibson LES PAUL® while Marc experimented with various other STRATOCASTER®s and STRATOCASTER® knockoffs. In the end Marc settled on that beautiful sunburst STRAT®.
Afterwards, we drove to the Galleria and had dinner at the 5115 GRILLE®. Wonderful food. I really miss RUGGLES® and the 5115 GRILLE®; 1 of my few regrets about leaving Houston. After enjoying a tasty dinner, Marc and I wandered around the Galleria for a while. We made our way back to our hotel and crashed for the night. And that was our Thursday in Houston.
