Monday afternoon Marc and I picked up Aunt Lou and then drove to Honore and Marie's home out in the country. Honore and Marie cooked a nice dinner of crawfish etouffee and tomatoes and potatoes and a corn on the cob, along with an apple cinnamon and raisin pie for dessert. Honore was looking good and told us all about events in Opelousas and with hi shop. Marie mainly talked with Aunt Lou, so you need to talk with Aunt Lou to get her story. Honore and Marie are flying up to Colorado to visit with their daughter Delaina and her new husband Chais. Their son Shawn is no longer working for the Opelousas District Attorney, but I forget what he is doing now. No news about Sherry Dean. We got so caught up in talking that we ended up staying until after 10PM. We finally got around to saying our goodbyes and drove back to Lafayette.
Honore and Marie have a beautiful home with lots of land and horses and a garden (if I recall correctly).The property reminded me a little of Uncle Dallas and Aunt Lou's farm out in the country back in the 1970s. Honore and Marie have 2 dogs, 1 is regular size and the other is Chihuahua sized. Both are nice and friendly (unfortunately I forgot to photograph them).
