Early Thursday morning I accompanied Mom to the hospital to get some scans and X-Rays (the results turned out good, so we are all relieved). Afterwards, we returned home to pick up John for lunch. Cousin Claire decided to join us. We went to HOP'S® restaurant, an American cuisine type restaurant. On the way, I casually mentioned to John that HOP'S® offers first-time customers free sampling of 5 different beers. Just trying to be neighborly and helpful, with no ulterior motives, honest to gosh. Well, we get to the restaurant, and I mention to our waitress that John is a first time customer. So she offers him the free beer sampler, just like I mentioned. John ordered the sampler and... drank them all! He slurped them down like a thirsty fish!! He didn't offer me 1 glass!!! Not a shot, not a sip, not even a drop! Can you believe that?! The ingratitude! Here I score 5 free beers for John, and he doesn't share even a drop with his favorite cousin! We're talking Conduct that shocks the Conscience ! I want a new cousin!
NOTE: The above is pure humor and sarcasm. I don't drink beer (I prefer Scotch), I was just giving John a hard time. I still am. He needs a little excitement in his life :-)
After lunch, we rolled back home and did a whole lot of nothing. Later that afternoon, John visited Aunt Hazel and Uncle Tom. We subsequently did a whole lot of nothing that evening. We even took a break from movies.
