January is a major month for birthdays and wedding anniversaries in our family. Cousin Dave Maddux has a birthday, Steve's brother Rick has a birthday, Jackie and Steve have their wedding anniversary, Felix's wife Gai has a birthday, cousin John Dempsey has a birthday, Paul and Rochelle's son Miles along with Claudia and David's son Jacob have birthdays, Steve has a birthday, and my Dad had a birthday. Lots of birthdays, and this year I got some pictures of John Dempsey's and Gai's birthdays. So, here we go -

MONDAY - Arriving in Lafayette

Monday morning I arrived at my Mom's in Louisiana. We had lunch together at COPELAND'S® restaurant (yes, I know y'all are surprised to hear that :-). After lunch John Dempsey arrived. Note the awesome Cashmere Coat John is wearing. John had a new Holy Roller-Mobile . Yep, the new car bug bit JD again, and hard. His Honda CIVIC® just did not do the trick. So, he went back to his first love, the ACCORD®. This baby has a sun roof and all the bells and whistles. After unpacking, John regaled us with his tale of shopping for his new car. You could practically make a movie about this saga. We later had dinner and watched a comedy called FIERCE CREATURES®. FIERCE CREATURES® is a comedy starring John Cleese and Marty Palin of MONTY PYTHON® fame, along with Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Kline. FIERCE CREATURES® is really funny, a definite "thumbs-up" for people who have not seen it.
