The next day, Friday, I drove into the Big Easy to hang out with Marc for the weekend. We got together with cousin Jennifer and caught the Jennifer Lopez movie THE CELL®. Afterwards we went back to Marc's place and hung out. Saturday Marc and I had lunch with his buddy Larry on the New Orleans lakefront. We then goofed off for a while and watched a really bad movie called THE ASTRONAUT'S WIFE® with Johnny Depp. Unfortunately, we did not know it was bad until we started watching it. Later, we had dinner with Marc's friend Katy, her boyfriend, and Larry and Belinda. We ate at the same Indian restaurant that we celebrated Katy's Birthday at last year. We then rolled on over to BORDER'S® book store and goofed off for a while. We then saw the Harrison Ford/Michelle Pfeiffer movie, WHAT LIES BENEATH®, a thriller with an unusual twist at the end.
On Sunday, Marc and I pretty much just hung out. That evening cousin John Dempsey rolled into town. Jennifer came over, and we went to P.F. CHANG'S® for dinner. P.F. CHANG'S® is located in Lakeside Mall on Veterans Drive for you out-of-towners. JD stayed the night and visited with Marc and me for quite a while.
John caught the early flight out the next morning to Pennsylvania to visit his sister Mary Anne and her husband Jimbo. I left New Orleans about an hour or 2 later and drove back to Lafayette. I ate lunch and spent the afternoon with Mom. I also visited Dad's former co-worker and friend Syble Charlot at STONE ENERGY® and then drove back to Houston.
