FRIDAY - Visit with the Nelsons

I arrived at Marc's place on Wednesday afternoon, if I recall correctly. The next day (Thursday) Marc and I saw the long awaited STAR WARS® movie, Episode I - THE PHANTOM MENACE®. It did not quite live up to the hype. However, it was STAR WARS®, and I did enjoy most of it... except for Jar Jar Binks®.

The next day (Friday) Mom and Jackie and Steve arrived in town. Also, Marc's friend Katy joined us . We got together with Aunt Nell and went to BAYONA® Restaurant for lunch. BAYONA® is a nice restaurant on Decatur Street (if I recall correctly) in the French Quarter. Steve ordered 2 bottles of red wine, one of which was a Clarendon Grenache. I really liked the Clarendon Grenache. Steve kind of suckered me by insisting that I drink some of both bottles of wine. I ended up drinking a lot of both bottles. Steve then suggested that I help pay for both bottles of wine. I detected a hint of sneakiness to his actions and subsequently made a point of not drinking so much wine when Steve ordered. The food was yummy, as typical of New Orleans.

Afterwards we went to see STAR WARS Episode I® again with everybody else. Marc and I arrived late and ended up sitting on the front row. I fell asleep during the movie on account of all the wine that I drank with lunch. After the movie we went over to Aunt Nell's house in uptown New Orleans to visit some more with her and Uncle Norman . And that was our action-packed Friday :-)
