Mom started talking about all of the useful and unnecessary stuff in the garage. So, we went out and sorted through the stuff. I kept my soft drink bottles (now long since recycled), some paper (probably recycled at this point), and that's about it. Marc and Jackie kept a few things as well. Fortunately, most of the stuff in the garage was Marc and Jackie's, so they had the bulk of the work. Marc drove home to New Orleans after lunch. Later that afternoon Jackie and Steve and I saw GALAXY QUEST®, the STAR TREK® spoof movie. We all enjoyed it. It was dead-on. Then we just lay around the house reading and watching TV. I caught up on my reading and cleaned out my closet. And that was my Christmas visit for 1999.
