I like this scene, although at the time I was burnt out and just exposed my last sheets of film to complete the day. Again, the sun is shining though the leaves (more clearly seen in the bottom image). This scene is getting near the western most point of Grasshopper Point. On the right (out of the scene) is a cliff with Highway 89A on top. I like the contrast between the 2 main Sycamore tree trunks being in shadow and the other Sycamore tree trunks being in various stages of highlight. Also, the way that the sunlight makes the Sycamore leaves look different shades of orange. I also like the contrast between the bluish rocks in shadow against the orange Sycamore leaves.
I took these photos with my EBONY SV810 camera and Fuji VELVIA 100 color slide film. I used a Rodenstock APO-SIRONAR-S 300mm f5.6 lens for the above photo and the Rodenstock APO-SIRONAR-S 240mm f5.6 lens for the bottom photo.
