These Sycamores are standing in a wash in Girdner trail. They are my favorite Sycamores on this trail. I photographed them in April and May 2010 with my Fuji GW680III Medium Format camera. I feel really happy with this composition; the colors and shapes are harmonious and "right". I like the contrast between the dark green bushes and the lighter orange leaves and whitish tree trunks, the contrast between the vegetation and the rocks comprising the wash bank in the background, along with the orange leaves against the bluish rocks on the wash bed. Everything works.

I took these photos with my Toyo METAL FIELD CAMERA with 4x5 back, Nikon NIKKOR-SW 90mm f4.5 lens, and 4x5 Fuji VELVIA 100 color slide film.
