These Sycamores are standing in front of Oak Creek. The composition is almost static, except for the diagonal from the sunlit logs in the right foreground running through the main sunlit Sycamore in the center, and back to the small outcropping in the upper left background. The image has nice dark shadows which enhance the Sycamores and direct your eye towards them. I find that the colors in this image work in an odd sort of way, not logical. I took the above photo with my Ebony SV57 camera, Schneider SUPER-SYMMAR XL 150mm f5.6 lens, and 4x5 Fuji VELVIA 50 color slide film.
