I call the unpaved road leading from VENTANA INN® to the campground next to the resort the campground road. I found lots of Redwood trees along this road that I loved. These trees were spaced out a little better for taking photographs. The top photo is a "Faerie Ring" between the road and the hotel, near the rear of the hotel. The morning sunlight was coming from behind the trees. I like how the tree branches seemed to flow with the sunlight. For some reason the tree trunks do not look as red as in real life; not sure why.
The 2nd photo is looking away from the hotel and towards the campground. Sunlight is just starting to stream onto the tree tops. I like how the road leads your eyes into the scene. I also like how the tree leaves in the foreground are so brilliant green, enhancing the atmospheric perspective and giving this scene extra depth.
I took these photographs with my Fuji GSW690III MF Rangefinder camera and Fuji VELVIA 100 film.
