The 2nd morning that I was in the San Francisco area I got up early in the morning and arrived at the Park before sunrise. I got several photos of the Redwoods; however, most of them came out so underexposed that the Redwood tree bark did not look its characteristic red. So I only have 2 photos that came out well from this morning.

The above photo is a section of the "Old Circle", a group of Redwood Trees forming a circular sort of shape. I like this photo because the Redwood trees and dead tree trunks form interesting shapes that lead your eye through the image.

The photo below is a Redwood tree stump and 2 trees beside it across the trail from the Jean S. Steinhart Grove. The colors are a little disappointing due to my underexposing the photo. However, I like the shapes of the trees and stump and the sunlight passing through the background trees giving the scene that misty morning look.
